Kendrick Lamar, one of the most talked-about rap artists of 2024, is poised to make history this year. Just a week before his highly anticipated performance of the Super Bowl halftime show, he made headlines by winning five Grammy awards, including two in the prestigious “Big Four” categories, becoming one of the most awarded rap artists in Grammy history.
It was certainly Lamar’s night as he took the stage to accept his second Big Four Grammy for Song of the Year for his hit diss track “Not Like Us.” Interestingly, this song also solidified his victory in the intense rap battle with Drake, as critics hailed him the champion.
The “DAMN.” rapper had seven nominations across five different categories, among which he took home five Grammy awards in each of those categories, including the Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance.

This grand recognition came after a historically successful 2024, marked by the renewal of his long-standing rap beef with Drake. In the coming week, Lamar is scheduled to headline the Super Bowl Halftime show in New Orleans, which was announced last fall.
