“It’s no guarantee”: Kendrick Perkins predicts Stephen Curry may join LA Lakers alongside LeBron James

Kendrick Perkins and Stephen Curry with LeBron James
The Golden State Warriors are showing signs of getting into trouble again. After a slacked start to the season, Stephen Curry pulled the team back to top 8 position. But they haven’t been as consistent as the team is known to. Stephen Curry had put in harsh words about the development as a team. The Golden State Warriors are deprived of shooting guard Klay Thompson. This is a major issue for the team’s scoring. However, their recent loss and talk about Stephen Curry delaying to sign extension has become a substantive debate. Former NBA veteran Kendrick Perkins predicts that Stephen Curry might reconsider signing extension with the Dubs Nation.
GSW was crushed by LeBron’s Los Angeles Lakers today. The game ended with 97-128 where purple and gold had a 31-point victory. Both the team were on the short end without top players. The Lakers still manage to pull off this much needed victory. LeBron James ended his night with a 22-point triple double. Besides him, 4 other players were in double figures in scoring. Stephen Curry’s hard fought 27 point was all in vain. A lot of predictions have been moving about with Stephen being loyal to the Warriors.
Kendrick Perkins’ strong comment on Stephen Curry joining LA Lakers alongside to play LeBron James
Former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins has now been talking about Steph’s extension with Warriors. However, he predicts otherwise to his loyalty. He stated, “With Steph not signing the extension, they should be aggressive in this trade. Meaning going out there and trading Andrew Wiggins, getting back a Victor Oladipo, to show Steph that we are going to surround you with help and we are going to get better, not just for this year but for next year so that he can sign his contract this offseason and you can lock Steph in. Because Steph not signing his contract extension, yes I get it, he’s going to get more money, but it’s no guarantee.”
He further added, “We saw all the joy, we saw the laughter in the All-Star Game between him and LeBron James, chest-bumping and high-fiving. Right now, I’m putting nothing past, I’m just saying P (Paul Pierce), I don’t put anything [indiscernible] when it comes to the NBA.”
Curry had signed a $201 Million 5-year max extension in 2017. Now before being an unrestricted free agent, he is sure to earn $46 Million out of it. However, Kendrick’s prediction seems so logical. The way LeBron and Stephen Curry bonded during All-Star weekend has increased his chances of eluding from GSW. But will he part ways?
