The Chiefs will play the Philadelphia Eagles, who defeated the Washington Commanders 55-23. This was in Super Bowl LIX, becoming the first team to return to the season finale for a chance at a third consecutive championship.

In a close AFC Championship game, quarterback Patrick Mahomes added two more rushing touchdowns, throwing for 245 yards, and a touchdown.
