Former NBA player Kendrick Perkins made a bold statement on a recent segment of the NBA on ESPN show regarding Stephen Curry.
Stephen Curry and Kendrick Perkins
All eyes are on the players chosen to display their abilities on the big stage as the 74th NBA All-Star Game draws near. Stephen Curry, a basketball phenom who is scheduled to make his 11th All-Star appearance, is one of them. With a career full of honors and a legacy that solidifies his place among the greats, Curry’s impact and effect on the game are indisputable.
However, former NBA player, Kendrick Perkins is not a big fan of Curry’s inclusion in this year’s match. Perkins, renowned for holding strong and frequently controversial views, had a different perspective on Curry’s choices. Perkins claimed that other players, such as Kyrie Irving, Devin Booker, and De’Aaron Fox, had played better this season. Also, he made a bold claim after that.
Perkins went on to support his argument. This was by pointing out that other stars not only had superior individual campaigns, but also ended up in better team positions than Curry. Instigating conversations around the basketball community, Perkins’ criticism brought a new viewpoint to the current All-Star debate.

Given how erratic their campaign has been, the Warriors could need some upgrades. With a 24-23 record, they are ranked 11th in the Western Conference. Moreover, the sole player on the team that averages more than 20 points per game is Curry. However, O’Connor stated that rather than pursuing Butler, the Warriors are more inclined to keep their current roster and try to develop for the future.
