The 2025 NASCAR season was special, as it saw the fans and the whole industry being more passionate than they have ever been regarding fixing the past mistakes. They demanded changes to charter system with the lawsuit, the playoff system, track selection, as well scheduling and it seems to have forced the leadership to finally makes some changes long overdue.

In the latest video shared on his YouTube channel, former NASCAR racer Kenny Wallace shared his thoughts on the situation. He pointed out that NASCAR is all hands-on deck to undo the mistakes of the past. It took the leadership a lot of time realize what they did wrong, but it better now than never when it comes to fixing issues.

I know for a fact that NASCAR is all hands on deck. They are going to make it right. This does make me happy. They realize what happened, and now it took them a while, and they definitely made some decisions that were not the way to go, let’s put it that way.

Further talking about the point, the Kenny Wallace Media owner pointed out that NASCAR was humbled mightily over the mistakes they made over the years. He asserted that fixing these mistakes is a major part of the sports’ action plans for the 2026 season and beyond. PR tours is going to a major part as well.

It’s easy for all of us to look back and go, yeah, we shouldn’t have done that…They did a lot of wrong things, but I do know they have been humbled mightily. NASCAR has been humbled mightily. And I know for a fact they hear y’all. They are going to go on tour in 2026, and they’re going to make it right.

Regardless of whatever the sport does, in order for the efforts to succeed the sport leadership needs to get back the trust of the community. That’s why they have hired a media company to bring the rally cry back.

Now, I know they did hire, if you remember, I cracked a joke, they hired this new media company to bring that rally cry back. … At first, I thought, well, that sounds funny.

Kenny Wallace said.

Furthermore, he joked that NASCAR could have called him instead of spending millions on a media company and asserted that he is willing to do everything to make the sport great again. He wants the repair the sport like everyone else in the community.

They could have called me up, I would have helped them. I will help them this year. If NASCAR calls me, I will help them. … We gotta repair NASCAR, and we gotta get back.

Kenny Wallace added.

The comments from the former racer seems rational and his attitude something the big names of the sport should have about helping the sport get back to its glory days. It would be interesting to see how its going playout for everyone involved.
