But NASCAR has decided to put a stop to it with their latest decision of disqualifying the racer, claiming he has been inactive from racing in the last five years.
Since his 2020 JD Motorsports Xfinity Series race entry at Daytona, Mike Wallace hasn’t started a signed event yet and NASCAR doesn’t think the veteran is ready for the tough event. His brother Kenny Wallace, via his YouTube shared how the 65-year-old feels about the missed opportunity. Mike called his brother and shared the news with him, in a dejected as well embarrassed tone.
He revealed that Mike Wallace got a call from Elton Sawyer about that disqualifying him from not just Daytona 500, but all races in 2025 NASCAR season. Mike Wallace though can again attempt to race in the event in 2026, but he has to actively race this year for that.
