The NASCAR community and majority of the US motorsport media is focused on the anti-trust lawsuit drama back in NC. 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsport sued the owners of the stock car racing owners alleging monopoly, and the second day of trail has finished with Denny Hamlin’s emotional testimony being the highlight.
But two major NASCAR media personalities were missing from the reporting the drama. The likes of Dave Moody and Larry McReynolds have been silent about the drama, despite them being one of the biggest voices in the sport. Ex-racer Kenny Wallace isn’t happy about it and called them out on his latest YouTube video.
So, here we are on December 1st, and this time it’s real, and nobody can ignore it. I think of Dave Moody today. I think of Larry McReynolds…Do they act like it’s not happening? Can they lie to themselves? I mean this in a loving, caring way.
Kenny Wallace said via his YouTube channel.
The veteran is unhappy with how MRN and other media channels are not giving enough attention to the matter and acting like it is another day. To be honest these were expected from the dup considering how close they are to NASCAR and how critical they have been of Denny Hamlin, as well as the lawsuit, over the years.
They are the NASCAR station. You know, MRN is kind of a serious NASCAR channel. Today’s story on this Monday is only so many days from the Daytona 500. Can you act like today’s a normal day? Can you act like it’s none of our business while it’s worldwide?

Denny Hamlin exposes how NASCAR controls driver’s public comments
During his testimony on court, Joe Gibbs Racing veteran Denny Hamlin made some major revelation, from his JGR salary to his real feeling about the current charter deal. Another major statement he made was regarding how NASCAR controls narratives.

He pointed out that if he says anything bad on public regarding the sport, he gets a mouthful from the sport, hence he often speaks positively about it on his podcast. Hamlin admitted that it his job to speak positively about the sport, and to avoid the unwanted calls.
Because if I say anything bad, I get a lashing from NASCAR. So, publicly, it’s all sunshine and rainbows… My job is to take the talking points NASCAR says to [me] and say them publicly. If [I say] anything bad, [I get] a phone call from NASCAR.
Denny Hamlin said as reported by Joseph Srigley of Racing America.
#NASCAR's council then asked Hamlin about his appearance on the Kenny Wallace Podcast, where he mentioned that the NextGen car was a net-positive about the sport — and didn't say anything negative about the racecar.

This wasn’t the first time Hamlin has called out the narratives control of the sport. Recently he went on social media rant targeting an ESPN article which highlighted NASCAR’s talking points and narratives. He claimed that the sport is brainwashing the fans witch such comments. As the trail goes on, NASCAR fans can expect more such bold comments and revelations.
