Kentavious Caldwell Pope was one of the three players who made way into the Washington Wizards before the 2021-22 season began after Russell Westbrook was acquired by the Los Angeles Lakers. With the season starting, KCP, Kyle Kuzma and Montrezl Harrell seems to be leading their new team with new ideas on the court until the Wizards hit rock-bottom before the trade deadline.

However, just on trade deadline day it seemed like Washington Wizards were indeed one of the most active teams, which caused Kentavious Caldwell Pope to make some revelations. Being one of the players who came out of the unpredictable trade action unscathed, KCP provided public with some insight and went onto mention how ‘agendas and egos’ come to play.

What was opinionated by Kentavious Caldwell Pope

According to the Washington Wizards small forward, multiple teammates were unhappy with the time they were given on the floor, and, when they did get minutes, how often they got the ball.

While Kentavious Caldwell Pope did not mention the two by name, it is obvious to every NBA fanatic that he was referring to his former teammates, point guard Spencer Dinwiddie and center Montrezl Harrell. Dinwiddie has the third most time per game for the Wizards with an average of 30.2 minutes each game. Only Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma have more minutes per game than him.

That being said, KCP’s Wizards have seen everything in the 2021-22 season. From being one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference to slipping beyond the play-in tournament berths, the teams need major inspiration if they have any hopes of making it past the regular season. But with KCP and Kuzma still having a lot of influence on the court for the Wizards, will they be able to cope up without marquee scorer Bradley Beal? Especially with New York Knicks picking up pace? Remains to be seen as the hoop bonanza of the 2021-22 NBA season continues.
