The defending champions Los Angeles Lakers have been very unfortunate this season. After a great start to this season, the team has fallen prey to injuries. The team succumbed this blow just as the playoffs knocks the door. Starting from Anthony Davis, Dennis Schroder to LeBron James, the team has faced a huge blow out in terms of injury. Now their most hyped trade Andre Drummond has missed time off the bench. The team has now descended down to 5th position in the Western Conference. But within all these dark clouds, the LA Lakers’ shooting guard, Kentavious Caldwell Pope has opened up with good news on Anthony Davis’ injury update.
The Lakers have been unlucky this season. LeBron suffered high ankle sprain while AD suffered from calf injury and endured minor Achilles injury as well. But KCP, the first hand shooter has provided some relief to the fans. According to him Anthony Davis might soon return to the league games. The purple and gold will finally see the ‘Brow’ on roster after a month’s rest. AD’s return timeline was very sceptical as he was not a pat of practice. Even Frank Vogel hadn’t given any light on his return.

According to KCP, “He’s making great progress. We were just joking with him that he should play five minutes tomorrow… He says he’s feeling good.” The 28-Yo shooting guard has put in high hopes of fans on the edge. The 6’10” big man will be the much needed player on the squad. The team however isn’t taking any risk with Davis’ injury.
He might take more time to recover but the team will not rush to ask a lot of their players in a vulnerable stage. They will look to progressively strengthen in the post season.
Anthony Davis is the most important link between Lakers and the championship. The team has failed repeatedly to get the victories they needed. But AD’s addition will just push them over the edge. His effortless mid-range shooting and monstrous post plays will be enough to get them the win. Given how stacked the competitors have become, the team will definitely look to restructure if AD joins in.
