Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s wife revealing parlay on social media sends NBA twitter into meltdown: “About to get him Jontay Portered!”
Orlando Magic star Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has played in the NBA for eleven seasons and won two championships.

Ever since the NBA and other professional leagues started working together with betting sites, they have some ground rules in place. One of those rules is that players, staff, team executives and their associated family members cannot place bets on games.
The NFL has handed down suspensions whenever they found players participating in bets. But the NBA is far stricter as was evident when they found Jontay Porter to have aided bettors. The league banned him from the game for life.
That means, he will never be able to set foot on a basketball floor. More importantly, he is also part of a federal investigation where authorities have arrested some of his co-conspirators. He is awaiting sentencing and could spend time behind bars.
Players are aware that they could lose their careers if they bet, hence stay away from it. They even do not respond to fans who ask them for favors in between games. But it seems Kentavious Caldwell-Pope‘s wife forgot about it when she posted this on her IG.
Let’s go babyyyyy! Don’t mess up my parlayyy!
McKenzie Caldwell-Pope wrote

This was her caption when she posted a reel of her husband during his game against the Toronto Raptors earlier today. It is not known if she was actually referring to a bet she made on a gambling site. But those words could spell trouble for her husband.
After the Jontay Porter incident, players are far too scared to even utter the word ‘bet’ or ‘gamble’. Larry Nance Jr. had a hilarious situation at a post-game press conference when he uttered those words. Then quickly realized his mistake and tried to fix it.
Fans unload onto Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s wife
When NBA fans caught wind of this, they quickly took to social media to talk about it. They were left dumbfounded knowing the wife of a player seemingly could end up jeopardizing her husband’s career. Especially after the Porter incident, these are the last words anyone associated with the game should say.
They slammed McKenzie Caldwell-Pope for forgetting gambling rules when trying to focus on her social media followers. Her Orlando Magic star husband has over $126 million in his career. They believe she did not need to say all this or partake in betting. Check out examples of those comments below.

KCP’s wife is betting on him? That would explain his lackluster performance on the Magic. Maybe something you should investigate @NBA pic.twitter.com/YSp9CkLLoo

Betting companies pay the league a lot of money to lose it to insider news. The NBA an army of staff keeping an eye on everyone associated with the league. If they find any discrepancies, they will launch an immediate investigation. If found guilty, the player could lose their career.
