Kevin Croom suspended by Nevada Commission after testing positive for marijuana, Niko Price also facing sanction


Kevin Croom, UFC newcomer made his octagon debut on one day’s notice and pulled off an improbable submission win in just 31 seconds. But Nevada State Athletic Commission has suspend him.
Croom was suspended for 4 1⁄2 months after he tested positive for marijuana following a win over Roosevelt Roberts on September 12 during the commission’s monthly meeting.
As part of an adjudication agreement with the state, Croom will be eligible to return to action after January 26, 2021 and he will have to pay an $1,800 fine as well as $145.36 in attorney’s fees.
Niko Price in the UFC welterweight had his temporary suspension extended after he also tested positive for marijuana following his three-round battle with Donald Cerrone on September 19.
Pair of Dana White Contender Series veterans are also facing punishment following positive drug tests

In addition to the two fighters on the UFC roster who received sanctions from the commission, a pair of Dana White Contender Series veterans are also facing punishment following positive drug tests.
Jose Flores, who lost to Jordan Leavitt in the debut edition of the Contender Series earlier this year, was suspended four and a half months after he tested positive for marijuana. He will also have to pay a $750 fine along with $145.36 in attorney fees.
Some more fighters have suspended like Chad Johnson, who lost his Contender Series bout on Aug. 18. He tested positive for a banned amphetamine, which will result in a nine-month suspension and a $750 fine. Johnson’s suspension will run until May 18, 2021.
