Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne recently admitted not having spoken to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola for a long time. The 32-year-old is currently in Germany, captaining the national team at the European Championships.

De Bruyne’s Belgium is having a tricky Euro campaign, with three points from two matches. They lost their first game to Slovakia but bounced back with a win against Romania in the second match. The 32-year old Manchester City defender was the star of the second match, scoring the second goal in the 80th minute. This performance marks his return to form for the national team, following his recent contribution to Manchester City’s third consecutive Premier League title.

Ahead of their last group stage match against Ukraine, De Bruyne was questioned by reporters if he had discussed his and fellow Belgium and City star Jeremy Doku‘s performances with City manager Pep Guardiola. To this, the midfielder cheekily replied that he hadn’t spoken to the Spaniard for a long time, jokingly suggesting that Pep might be enjoying time at the beach or playing golf.

In an interview with Dutch media outlet HLN about a potential move to Saudi Arabia, De Bruyne mentioned that at his age, one must be open to all possibilities.

At my age you have to be open to everything. You're talking about incredible amounts of money in what may be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that.
