Manchester City boast one of the best midfielders to ever grace the Premier League in Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian has time and again proven his worth to club with numerous clutch goals and goal contributions. However, the Cityzens’ dominance of the competition is under threat following rumors that the player is plotting a move away from the reigning champions.
Even though Pep Guardiola denied rumors of the player considering a move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad, the development has put other clubs on high alert. And though fans may be lucky enough to see the 33-year-old donning City colours for another season, reports suggest that Guardiola and co. have their eyes set on a worthy successor.
Jamal Musiala is no stranger to the big stage. Hosts Germany have the youngster to thank for their success in the tournament, even though they were eliminated by eventual winners Spain in the quarter final.
As per reports, Musiala also wants a club like Real Madrid, who are able to compete for the Champions League every season.
Bayern Munich risk losing Jamal Musiala & star duo for free
Bayern Munich are a far cry from what they used to be in Europe. After terrorizing teams throughout the competition, the men in red have been reduced to quarter & semi-finalists in recent seasons. Following the exit of Thomas Tuchel, the club surprisingly struggled to find a new manager. Even though Vincent Kompany has taken charge at Bayern, the club now risk losing more than two crucial players to rivals Real Madrid!
Both Alphonso Davies and Joshua Kimmich have just one more year left on their contract. This puts the pressure on the club, and makes them run the risk of losing them for free or a lower price or being forced to admit their wage demands. While Davies leans toward a move away from the club, Kimmich’s situation is yet to be resolved. This subsequently puts the pressure on keeping a star like Musiala at the club.
If more and more key players end up leaving, Musiala too will be forced to consider his options elsewhere. From a move back to England where he grew up to signing for a big team in La Liga, the options remain open for the youngster. As of now, only rumors surround the player’s future with the Bavarians. Musiala’s contract expires in 2026.
