NBA veteran Kevin Durant is among the best when it comes to engaging with the fans. Former stars like Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley have received a lot of fan appreciation in the past. However, Durant has always been on a completely different level. Regardless of whether the fans are complimenting him or criticizing him, he never hesitates to voice his opinions.
He did the same recently as he had a back-and-forth with a fan regarding his appearance on the Mind the Game podcast alongside LeBron James. The fan called out both Durant and James for taking a sly dig at the legendary Michael Jordan on the podcast. In response, Durant did not waste time clarifying his stance, as he usually does. The fan wrote:
Slandering a man for leaving the game to fulfill his murder dad’s dreams for him is WILD. Second time he left because he was loyal to his team and coach. Something you and Bron can NEVER understand.
Durant didn’t hold back in his response:
MJ retired 3 times. It’s okay to call that out my brother, I got 1 million dollars worth of MJ shoes in my house hahaha. It’s okay, he retired 3 times and still the goat. Ima applaud that just like Ima applaud playing 22 years at an ELITE level. I like basketball tho, you love individuals more.

In his podcast remarks, Durant shared his opinions on how a player’s dedication to the game could be used to gauge greatness. In doing so, he praised James’ longevity while also taking a jab at Jordan by putting up his retirement choice. This led to many NBA fans and former players putting out their opinions on the matter.
However, Durant is not new to all of this; in fact, he has been doing this for years on social media. Facing constant criticism from the fans, critics, and former NBA players is something Durant has done multiple times during his career. However, when the topic is around someone like MJ, it goes viral quickly as seen in his recent post.
In all of this, Durant does not forget to make the topic funny. He joked about how he ranks himself higher than both James and Jordan, showcasing the funny side of his nature in this heated controversy.
Former NBA player Ron Harper went in hard at Kevin Durant for allegedly taking a dig at Michael Jordan
Having a go at one of the best NBA players, Michael Jordan, would surely get the NBA world on high alert. That’s exactly what happened in the case of NBA veteran Kevin Durant lately. His latest remarks on determining ‘greatness’ in the NBA on the Mind the Game podcast did not sit well with a former NBA player and MJ’s teammate, Ron Harper.
I’m gonna start a real show of BULLS—… If he stop 3 times he won more then you all.

The fact that someone defended Jordan—and that someone was one of his teammates—is hardly surprising. Jordan had more victories than Durant, Harper was correct. However, Durant was also correct when he suggested that Jordan switched from basketball to another sport.
But the current Rockets star was not throwing shade at Jordan, claiming he is the GOAT in one of his tweets as well. Something that Harper did not pick up on, unfortunately.
Kevin Durant gave Jayson Tatum some much-needed advice for his Achilles injury
Although injuries are inevitable in sports, the Achilles ailment hindered numerous players during the most recent NBA season. However, Kevin Durant, a former NBA veteran, is the one with the greatest expertise in handling both on and off the field. He recently gave the Boston Celtics star man, Jayson Tatu,m some much-needed advice regarding his Achilles injury that he suffered this past season.
Your game and your body is going for sure change. When you tear your Achilles, your calf muscle goes to nothing. You sit around for three months and you can’t move your calf… So that’s most of the work is getting that calf back. You have to get it bigger and stronger.
Kevin Durant said

Last season, a number of players, including Tyrese Haliburton, Damian Lillard, and Tatum, suffered Achilles injuries. But Durant specifically mentioned Tatum when he described the Boston Celtics star’s recuperation process. Tatum has much respect for the NBA veteran. That said, the Celtics star turning towards Durant for help also showcases the respect he holds for him.
