Besides Durant, the frontcourt will also have players like Anthony Davis, Bam Adebayo, and Joel Embiid. After the Team USA photo session, a narrative about players’ height became an online discussion topic.
Kevin Durant stood beside Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid. KD’s listed height is around 6 feet 10 or 6 feet 11. Nevertheless, he appeared on the Up & Adams show to make a shocking claim about his height. The Phoenix Suns star addressed the team photo and suggested his teammates might have lied about their respective heights.

Durant stated that all the other centers were lying about their height. Durant is listed as 6’11”, Embiid as 7’0″, Davis as 6’10”, and Adebayo as 6’9″ on various reputed websites. Nevertheless, Durant’s comments have left doubts in people’s minds about these listings. He even feels that many have inflated these numbers.
Team USA had their first exhibition game against Team Canada, dominating Canada by 86-72. However, Durant did not play for the team. He had suffered a calf injury and is currently recovering from it before the start of the world stage of the Olympics. As such, he will only step into the court alongside LeBron James and Stephen Curry once he has recovered.

During an interview with ESPN, Durant talked about the significance of playing alongside LeBron James and Stephen Curry. He was also asked about this Team being a farewell tour as all of the three superstars are at the back ends of their careers.

Having seen all these players play against each other for more than a decade, it’s a delight for the fans to see all of them team together. James and Curry have continued to play at a higher level despite their age.
