Kevin Durant continues firing at Suns media member following snide remark
NBA star Kevin Durant has been at the recieving end of the Suns fanbase on social media over the past week.

Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant has been facing a tough time with the Phoenix Suns on and off the court. The Suns have been struggling this season, facing it tough to make it into the NBA Playoffs. That said, the Suns’ fanbase is blaming Durant for this. This has led to the Suns superstar posting more frequently in recent days, challenging perceptions created by individuals who are unfamiliar with the squad.
Durant is not one to mince his words, in media or public. Over the past few weeks, various Suns’ fans and social media personalities have been disrespecting the NBA great. The fans have created a perception that: whenever Durant is not playing, the Suns are performing well. The Suns star has had enough of this and has chosen to speak up on social media lately.
For example, a Sports Radio Talk Show host, John Gambadaro noticed that when Durant sat on the Bench, the Suns had improved shooting stats. He posted his thoughts on X. This led many fans to troll Durant. However, Gambadaro responded to his initial tweet. He made it clear that he did not intend to disrespect Durant. Also, he was initially surprised that the Suns are playing well in Durant’s absence.
Some of these people are so pathetic. I made a point the Suns went on a huge run while KD sat – that doesn’t usually happen – and somehow Twitter trolls have me knocking Durant for it.

This post reached KD, and as usual, the Suns star responded and made things clear.

There doesn’t seem to be a logical reason for these constant criticisms of Durant’s performance on both sides of the court. He has been a consistent performer over the years for the Suns. On the other hand, the Phoenix media seems to ‘take it easy’ on their main star, Devin Booker.
It might also result from their growing frustration with the team’s lack of performance after the season’s first month. Durant, meanwhile, is not going to take these personal jabs lying down.
Kevin Durant fires back at Skip Bayless’ criticism of the Suns star
Over the years, Skip Bayless has engaged in numerous high-profile conflicts with professional athletes. The player who has contributed most to Bayless’s incessant chatter, though, is without a doubt the outspoken Kevin Durant, who once again responded to recent criticism from Bayless on social media.
Bayless’ opinion of Durant has altered a lot in recent years. He publicly criticized his defensive performance and motivation as a basketball player in a recent episode of his podcast, The Skip Bayless Show, labeling him “mentally semi-retired.” However, this did not go down well with Durant.
F**k it, We’re both washed, it was a great run @RealSkipBayless

However, Bayless intensified the rivalry between the two in the recent segment of his self-titled show. In addition, he doesn’t think Durant is prepared to put in the effort required to succeed at this stage of his career.
With KD, I'm talking intangibles. Hunger. Burning desire to win. Leading, optional. Winning, optional. As KD tweeted, it was a great run. And it was. He has done it all, past tense. He can still PLAY at a high level. But WIN at a high level? Is he still as obsessed with WINNING? pic.twitter.com/5TVfKGfgyM

With a good season finale, perhaps Durant will prove Bayless incorrect and help the Suns return to a Western Conference play-in position. However, Bayless isn’t quite convinced that Durant is eager to do more in his NBA career. Only time will tell who comes out on top in this situation between the two.
