With the Paris Olympics done and dusted for Team USA basketball stars, attention has now been turned to leisure activities. As such, many fans are in agreement that the players deserve a vacation after having a great tournament. Kevin Durant, in particular, has taken to vacationing in France after their triumph against the host nation.
In the latest photos going viral on the internet, Durant and USA teammate Devin Booker could be seen having a good time together. The duo were spotted cooling off in the water at a resort in Saint-Tropez, a coastal town in Southern France popular for its beaches and tourist spots. Kevin Durant could be seen wearing only shorts with his hands raised, as he slides into the water on a chute. On his part, Booker could be seen relaxing on a pool bed bare-chested and wearing just shorts as well. He also had sunglasses on and wore a black baseball cap.
The latest vacation for both NBA stars comes after a successful outing on the world stage, where they won the Olympics gold medal. For Durant, the achievement saw him make history, becoming the first-ever player in Olympic men’s basketball to win 4 gold medals. And it appears celebrations are not over yet, even though both men decided to go somewhere more peaceful and quieter instead. It may just be the best for them to rewind and recharge, ahead of the upcoming NBA season.
Furthermore, it presents a good opportunity for Durant to relax and take his mind off thoughts of retirement and the business deals of late. The 35-year-old recently acquired a minority stake in France’s most successful football club, Paris St. Germain. It was also revealed that he met with PSG’s Qatari president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi last week, as well as toured the club’s academy and facilities. The deal sees the Phoenix Suns’ player join the likes of LeBron James, NFL star Tom Brady, and other sports stars with shares in European football teams.
