Kevin Durant has kept himself active over this summer, interacting with fans on various social media sites. But for the NBA veteran, who consistently responds to both praise and criticism from his fans, this is nothing new. This time, ‘KD’ responded in the same way to a fan who criticized him for not leading his team in field goal attempts per game since 2018.
KD wasn’t going to tolerate that. The two-time Finals MVP responded by vehemently defending his style of play, demonstrating that he was more than just a scorer. Durant made a clear claim in his reply to the fan, calling himself ‘a coach’s dream.’ He backed his statements with facts, which surely garnered his fellow NBA players’ attention.
30k points on low fga. Ima coaches dream. Dime dropper, I mastered scoring at 24 years old man. Give it a rest, I don’t care about being the best scorer ever. You are diminishing my all time greatness callin me that

Curiously, Tyrese Haliburton was the one who jumped in to support KD. Instead of using words, he moved directly to a meme comment on X, complete with a screwed nose and an ugly face reaction.

In recent weeks, Haliburton and Durant have become close. Notably, the Pacers star recently stated that Durant stopped by his residence to check on him. This is primarily as a result of Haliburton’s Achilles injury recovery and Durant’s familiarity with Haliburton’s injury. Durant has experienced the same thing during his career and can relate to Halliburton’s suffering.
As for Durant, he has the receipts for anyone who is still promoting the idea that he doesn’t shoot enough. Durant has previously led the NBA in field goal attempts, finished sixth last season, and has been among the top six in shots per game for the past two seasons. At times, it feels as if fans are just trying to get a reaction out of the NBA star.
Pacers drop the hammer on Tyrese Haliburton’s heartbreaking injury news
When Tyrese Haliburton went down on the court during Game 7 of the NBA Finals against the OKC Thunder, the whole NBA world was left stunned. It was mostly because, as per Haliburton’s reaction, one knew that he was not gonna participate in the game anymore. And that’s exactly what happened.
Haliburton was diagnosed with an Achilles injury after the game. Moreover, his injury led to his side’s poor loss against the Thunder. To add to this misery, the Pacers’ president, Kevin Pritchard, recently dropped the hammer on Haliburton’s return timeline. And it’s not a good one.
#Pacers president Kevin Pritchard says Tyrese Haliburton (right Achilles) will not play at all next season.

According to Pritchard, the point guard will not play in the 2025–26 campaign. Haliburton’s torn right Achilles will require rehabilitation for the duration of the season. The Pacers superstar may have suffered this injury more ruthlessly.
He had just made three long 3-pointers on the road in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. However, his Achilles gave out when he attempted to place his right foot to initiate a drive. Haliburton fell painfully to the ground and was aware of his injury immediately.
NBA star Derrick White once made an interesting revelation regarding Kevin Durant
Basketball fans across the world would love to watch stars like Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Stephen Curry up close. It’s safe to say that for the Boston Celtics star man, Derrick White, his dream did come true when he was with Team USA during the 2024 Paris Olympics. White made a recent appearance on the White Noise podcast, where he made an interesting revelation regarding Durant.

The Celtics star claimed that he had one impossible dream to block Durant’s jump shot. To date, not many have been successful in doing it, and White opened up on this on the podcast.
I’ve always wanted to block KD’s shot. Every time we play I’m like, I just need to check that off. There was one time where he did a bump fade, [and] I was waiting for it. He turned, I was like [reaches high in vain], still didn’t block it. I don’t think I ever will.
Derrick White said on the White Noise Podcast
There’s no guilt in it, even if the NBA star does not get his holy grail because Durant is approximately seven inches taller than White. For 17 years and counting, KD has outplayed NBA defenders thanks to one of the most distinctive skill sets in basketball history. Also, White won’t be the last defender to feel powerless in the face of him.
