Kevin Durant shoots back at NBA Twitter hater tagging him in legendary forward’s compilation
Suns star Kevin Durant did not hold back against a social media user, making his case straight regarding his playstyle with the Suns.

Kevin Durant
Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant is not someone who will keep quiet on the court and off it. He is also known to be an active social media user and always hops on to call out matters against him. Recently, he did the same as an NBA fan called him out regarding his playstyle. This matter also involved former Dallas Mavericks player, Dirk Nowitzki.
Durant has long admired the Mavs legend, whom he looked up to during his early NBA days. Notably, the fan called out Durant on X because of his isolation efficiency. Per the video posted on X, the fan claimed Durant can be better in that aspect and should look up to the likes of Nowitzki(present in the video) to be better in isolation.
However, this did not go down well with Durant, who called out the fan on X. Interestingly Durant was involved in a back-and-forth with the fan on X.
The fan wrote on X, “When you talk about iso efficiency this is what we mean @KDTrey5.” to which Kevin Durant responded, “Why u tag me and not dirk??” The fan did not settle there as he chimed back stating, “Cause you iso heavy. Dirk not playing, five you are. Pick your spots.” The Suns’ star once again made his case clear as he said, “Yall gotta stop wit this iso heavy narrative, I get 4 ISOs a game man.”

Durant has definitely built his case as one of the greatest isolation players ever, as NBA fans have seen over the last 2 decades. The Suns star continues to perform at his best despite a series of poor performances by the Suns this season. Notably, Durant is reportedly looking to leave the franchise.
Going into the offseason, many sides are eyeing the NBA veteran for their rosters. It will be interesting to watch which side snaps up the top offensive star.
Kevin Durant once made a clear admission regarding Mavs legend Dirk Nowitzki
Kevin Durant talked about how the legendary Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks influenced his style of play in an edition of The Etc’s with KD. In addition, Durant also claimed that he used to watch Nowitzki’s shooting videos before practicing. Notably, Durant raved about Nowiztki’s ‘ one-legged fade’ on the podcast.
He inspired a lot of bigs to step out and work on their jump shots. He had an unstoppable shot himself that he coined and that he just created, that everybody followed around the world. A lot of people don’t talk about that, the fact that the one-legged fade is just a staple in the game. And it was used by him mostly his whole career.

However, Durant is no less, as he is making a strong case to have one of the best NBA careers as a basketball professional. Also, Durant does not seem to slow down. In 62 games this season, Durant averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists for the Suns. This showcases his willingness to continue to perform at the highest levels, just like Dirk Nowitzki.
Former NBA champ Kendrick Perkins had an interesting take on Kevin Durant’s ‘next’ NBA side
Following a disappointing regular season, the Phoenix Suns may make significant personnel changes in the offseason. Now, it looks like Kevin Durant could be on the move this offseason after a few failed attempts to leave. However, Kendrick Perkins thinks the Dallas Mavericks would be the ideal suit for the future Hall of Famer if the Suns attempted to trade Durant during the winter.
Dallas, with [Anthony Davis] and [Kyrie Irving].

This would surely bring back fond memories of Durant and Kyrie Irving‘s days at the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets only won one playoff series in their two years together, finishing 92-62 in the regular season. If this deal goes through, Durant and Irving will surely be looking to make amends this time around, together on the court.
