Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant slams Skip Bayless' analysis

The basketball world knows Kevin Durant is not one to back down from firing back at social media fan comments. The Phoenix Suns superstar particularly engages with those comments he feels are trolling him or his team.

Some of his clap backs have been brutal, forcing the trolling fan to stop tweeting anymore. He even clarified that he cherishes those back-and-forth arguments as he gets to speak his side while not allowing fans to start a narrative that he believed was not true.

The Phoenix Suns superstar has also directed some of his replies to members of the media. His last major retort was when he labelled ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith a ‘clown’. He believes these analysts have not witnessed practice sessions, been inside the locker rooms etc. to talk about his leadership skills.

He believes they are just going with what they believe is the best way to draw viewers. One such rhetoric was presented by another great TV analyst Skip Bayless. He said on his podcast that Kevin Durant looked washed.

The more I watch him at age 36, the more he looks mentally semi-retired to me. It just feels to me like he is winding his basketball. And its reflecting in the Suns’ win-loss record.

Skip Bayless said

The 73-year-old added that the Phoenix Suns look like they do not care. They do not defend with the ferocity top teams do, and they look mentally exhausted. That is similar to what Durant is showing even though he is still scoring at an elite level.

Kevin Durant gives Skip Bayless a taste of his own medicine

Over the years, Skip Bayless has always held the opinion that Kevin Durant is an all-time great. Even in his heated debates with former colleague Shannon Sharpe, he has sided with the 6′ 11′ forward. But this new ‘washed’ rhetoric did not seem to make sense to the Suns superstar.

Fuck it, we’re both washed, it was a great run Skip Bayless.

This was the two-time NBA Finals MVP giving Bayless a taste of his own medicine. He called the former ESPN and Fox analyst washed for his senseless take. That is because Durant is still playing at a high standard and knows he can continue to do so.

The problems surrounding his Phoenix Suns are not his doing. Rather, the team is still unbalanced on both offense and defense. They had a chance to try and fix it, but Bradley Beal‘s no-trade clause stopped any possibilities. Now they are fighting to enter the play-in spots with very few games left.
