In Short
  • Shaquille O'Neal celebrated his 54th birthday on Inside the NBA with a special edition of Shaqtin' a Fool.
  • Kevin Durant was humorously included in the segment for recent controversies, including rumored burner accounts.
  • The Inside the NBA crew also celebrated O'Neal with fake cash labeled 'Chuck Bucks' in a playful tribute.

Appearing on Inside the NBA on his 54th birthday, Shaquille O’Neal had to create a birthday special version of Shaqtin’ a Fool. After taking into consideration all the events of the past few weeks, he brought Kevin Durant into the fold.

The Houston Rockets star became public news for two reasons. One was when some fans unearthed his investment in drone companies that had been supplying to the Israeli Defense Force.

Unlike that news, the second one became a major discussion point. That was after rumors that the Slim Reaper was operating Twitter burner accounts, from which he was dissing both current and former teammates.

When Shaqtin’ a Fool rolled, Kevin Durant found himself No. 3 on the list. O’Neal started off the segment by trolling the 16-time All-Star for his back-to-back turnovers and a technical foul against the Washington Wizards.

But to finish trolling him, the Diesel included a graphic that shows someone wearing a Durant jersey sitting in front of a computer, typing in a lot of tweets. This was naturally a dig at the Paris Olympics gold medalist’s burner account theory.

Neither Shaquille O’Neal nor any of his Inside the NBA colleagues commented on the burner account graphic. However, they took a shot at what was the talk of the basketball world for a while. The fact that the Rockets star did not dispute those claims, and just sternly deflected the question, added to the rumors that he may have been running a burner account.

Since it was Shaquille O’Neal’s birthday, it was natural that his colleagues on Inside the NBA would talk about it and celebrate. There was no cake, just like they have done in the past with Charles Barkley, but they had something else in mind.

Kenny Smith cut off Ernie Johnson, who was wishing the four-time champion, by tossing over three bundles of $100 bills. The cash displayed on the show in the past was fake currency and had O’Neal’s face on it.

Then, the crew that generally targets Barkley with something tossed from above whenever he guarantees a result dumped wads of dollar bills on the Los Angeles Lakers’ great.

But this time, as Smith pointed out, they had Charles Barkley’s picture on it. The former Rockets star labeled them as ‘Chuck Bucks.’ After that, O’Neal tossed them up as if he were celebrating earning big wads of cash on his birthday.

But the Round Mound of Rebound was not impressed, and jokingly called out their crew for not aiming the cash onto Shaquille O’Neal‘s head like they do when it is his turn.

Shaquille O’Neal named a new taco while watching highlights

Shaquille O’Neal is not one to follow Charles Barkley’s lead and resort to pills to reduce his weight. He has made it clear time and again that he loves to eat.

I don’t know what Brook Lopez had for his pregame meal, but I know what he’s having for dinner. Barbecue taco alert! Roll the tape.

Shaquille O’Neal said

This was the Hall of Famer coining a name for a dish that did not exist when he saw Brook Lopez score 17 points in the first half for the Los Angeles Clippers.

O’Neal reiterated that the Clippers center was slow due to his age, but managed to do whatever he could despite that deficit, which helped his team take a sizeable lead against the San Antonio Spurs. But the Miami Heat legend was suggesting that such a dish would not be out of place in San Antonio. In the end, O’Neal asked if Barbecue Taco was a real dish, with Ernie Johnson replying that it could be now.
