Kevin Durant talks if a Big Three exists in the NBA at the moment

The NBA has developed in recent years where a certain group of players remains dominant over the rest. With developing age and teams scouting the finest of talents every year, the rosters remain as strong as ever. The concept of ‘Big Three’ remains a much-debated topic. As such, the Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant recently spoke about the talent level in the NBA.

Many NBA veterans, including Kobe Bryant, have mentioned that Kevin Durant was the toughest player to guard in the NBA. When asked about the big threes, the Phoenix Suns forward believed such a term no longer exists in the NBA. Durant admitted to being the oldest player at the top but refuted the idea of the Big Three.

Don't say no big threes, if you look at Lebron, Steph, and myself maybe. But the NBA is different. Ain't no big threes, it's a big thirty now.

With Lebron James having led the All-time scoring record and Stephen Curry having the most 3-pointers made to his name, these two athletes are surely on the Big Three list. Meanwhile, Kevin Durant is one of the toughest to defend with a center’s height and a point guard’s skill. Durant, even after being a 7-footer, has flashy moves, a smooth jump shot, and a very sharp court vision.

Today’s NBA is full of elite athletes. Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Joel Embiid, and Nikola Yokic are the veteran elite talents. Youngsters like Ja Morant and Anthony Edwards have an eye on the future. The NBA is a lot more than just the Big Three. If talking about the biggest players of the 2010s, Curry, James, and KD are the perfect pick, but in today’s game, it is tough to pick the big three, as KD suggested.

Kevin Durant revealed the Significance of Playing Alongside Lebron James and Stephen Curry

The current Team USA Basketball roster has the world waiting on them to win the Olympic Gold. Comprising of the NBA greats, the national team is an absolute dream team. Having the best players for all given positions on the field, the USA team is expected to win nothing but the Gold.

With players like Kevin Durant, Lebron James, and Stephen Curry competing against each other, it’s a spectacle to watch them play alongside each other. Durant was asked about his feelings about whether it feels like a farewell tour with players probably retiring in the next few years.

No, these guys are still playing at an elite level and Bron might be there in LA...and Steph is doing right too. You don't wanna look at it that way.

Having played against them and having looked at their careers for the past 15 to 20 years, Durant admires being on the same team as them. Even for players like Anthony Davis and other youngsters, to be able to share the same locker room after competing for so long, it is nice to be playing alongside.
