The Detroit Pistons played against the Washington Commanders in the NFC Divisional Playoff Round game. Interestingly, NBA star Kevin Durant is a big fan of the Commanders and has made it known to the public several times. Given that, Lions star Jahmyr Gibbs decided to test Durant’s patience when he subtly trolled him during the matchup.

When Jahmyr Gibbs celebrated his touchdown on Saturday night, he mimicked a traditional KD pregame warm-up. This did not go down well with Durant. With the Commanders winning the game, Durant had the last laugh and did not let the opportunity to troll Gibbs and the Lions slide past him. He took to X to troll them.

Kevin Durant wrote on X, “I’m already sick of @Jahmyr_Gibbs1. Move around somewhere bro damn.” Durant later followed it with another X post, stating, “Have a great night Detroit” which had his pre-game warm-up video, taking a dig toward Gibbs and the Lions.

After scoring a touchdown in the first half of the Commanders’ playoff game against the Detroit Lions on the road, Gibbs performed his dance. During Game 5 of the 2017 NBA Finals, the dance in question took place right before the Golden State Warriors ran out of the tunnel. The Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in that game to win the NBA Finals, so maybe it was just luck.

Durant won the Warriors’ Finals MVP award with his 39 points, six rebounds, and five assists in the win. On the other hand, Born in Seat Pleasant, Maryland, Durant has been outspoken in his backing of the Washington Commanders for a long time. Not only that, he has also dawned their jersey during several practice sessions with the Phoenix Suns, showcasing his support for the Commanders.

Kevin Durant ‘bites back’ after Jahmyr Gibbs’ touchdown celebration

Following his touchdown antics on Saturday, NBA star Kevin Durant reacted hilariously to Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs’ imitation of a traditional KD warm-up before the game. After the game, Durant was in the Washington Commanders’ locker room, celebrating their win over the Detroit Lions and Jahmyr Gibbs.

In a video posted by the Commanders’ Mike Saintristil, Kevin Durant mockingly said, “Put your Bust on man.” This was a dig towards, Jahmyr Gibbs’ touchdown celebration. For context, “Bust on” is an American English slang phrase that can mean to criticize someone harshly. In addition, Durant left to chance to troll the Lions after the game as well.
