The Grizzlies cited ‘conduct detrimental to the team’ as the reason for the suspension. That was after the 26-year-old expressed his frustration with how he was being utilized.

As per Yahoo Sports’ Kelly Iko, there is ‘palpable tension’ between Ja Morant and head coach Tuomas Iisalo. Those tensions and the suspension brought up rumors of a potential trade.

However, so far, no concrete news has come through. With his past off-court issues still hanging over his head, it seems the electric point guard will have to wait to see what the franchise decides.
