Kevin Durant is at a crossroads in his career, ready to leave the Phoenix Suns after two and a half trying years. He wants to go to a contender, but his team wants the best return for their investment in him. The Slim Reaper has a shortlist of options, and his representatives are working to find a solution.

Rumor has it that Kevin Durant is looking to head to either the New York Knicks, Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, or the San Antonio Spurs. The 15-time All-Star believes those teams can help him have another crack at an NBA title or two.

Apparently, the Knicks were one of the most interesting choices. Pairing up with Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns would make them instant contenders. Among all analysts observing the matter, Marc J Spears came up with the latest update, which he shared on NBA Today.

KD wanted the New York Knicks. The Knicks have no interest in bringing him in. There is some fear from him and Rich Kleiman that they’re hoping that there’s going to be respect at Kevin’s age to give him what he wants, rather than try to trade him like he’s 31.

Marc J Spears said

Spears understands that the 36-year-old wanted to return to the Big Apple. That would have placed him closer to home, and he would have had another shot at winning a title in New York. However, the Knicks seem to believe they are better off without the Paris Olympics gold medalist.

Kevin Durant has no interest in teaming up with Anthony Edwards at Wolves

Now that one option is down, it leaves four teams with a chance at getting their hands on Kevin Durant. The Minnesota Timberwolves were seen as a viable option, considering the two-time NBA Finals MVP has a great relationship with Anthony Edwards, who looks up to him.

I’m told the Phoenix Suns remain in active conversations around the league on a Kevin Durant deal. I’m told Kevin Durant has no desire to be in Minnesota with the Timberwolves.

Shams Charania revealed on SportsCenter

This was an update from ESPN’s lead NBA Insider, who revealed that the Phoenix Suns were entertaining offers from the Houston Rockets, Miami Heat, and the Wolves. However, the Wolves are not on Durant’s list of preferred destinations. He would prefer the Spurs, Heat, and Rockets as possible options.

The DC native understands how some members of the media will skew it if he joins Edwards in Minnesota. Knowing how that generally transpires, he does not want it to weigh down upon him or Anthony Edwards.

Kevin Durant trolls Grizzlies for giving up on Desmond Bane

Durant might be the most talked-about name in the trade market, even though the NBA Finals are in session. As his trade is being worked out, the basketball world received its first piece of a confirmed move when the Memphis Grizzlies sent Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic.

The deal sent shockwaves around the sports world as many could not believe that the Grizzlies broke up their core trio of Bane, Ja Morant, and Jaren Jackson Jr. It was not as if he was becoming expensive or aging, or struggling with injuries. Kevin Durant seems to be one of them and took the opportunity to troll the Grizzlies.

They heard this dap in Memphis.

Durantula was implying that when Desmond Bane was greeted by Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley, they dapped each other up. To him, the sound of that dap indicates that Bane was extremely happy to arrive at a franchise that wants him.
