Kevin Hart made headlines at the 2025 NBA All-Star game as an on-court emcee. The comedian mingled with celebrities and athletes at the star-studded affair. At some point in the event, he shared a hilarious moment with WNBA stars DiJonai Carrington, Rickea Jackson, and Aaliyah Edwards over height difference.

After Shaquille O’Neal‘s OGs secured a championship, Kevin Hart indulged in pictures with the WNBA stars. Primarily, Jackson bent down to pose with the 5’5 comedian followed by Edwards and Carrington. Later, the three involved him in a group picture making it harder for Hart to fit in with the tall athletes.

The 6’2 forward, Rickea Jackson further rested her hand over the Central Intelligence star’s head leading 5’11 DiJonai Carrington to jeer at him. Kevin Hart took the camera as he amusingly flipped over the athletes’ outfits and how they don’t have clothes of their own size.

After the game, DiJonai Carrington and Aaliyah Edwards doubled down on their roast on social media. The two posted the video on their official handles once again mocking the comedian’s short height. The former called him a ‘short king’ while the latter alleged he was the ‘smallest person’ she had ever encountered. Apart from this interaction, Kevin Hart’s presence brought a load of humor to the event overall.

As for on-court activities, both Carrington and Jackson have made waves in their respective events. While the former took home a $20,000 price, the latter showcased her skills in the Celebrity All-Star game. Although currently in off-season, both athletes have participated in the Unrivaled League that runs through March 10.

Kevin Hart’s All-Star presence draws mixed reviews from fans

This year’s NBA All-Star event gained limelight for introducing a dissimilar approach to the formatting. One of the changes made to enhance engagement was Kevin Hart’s inclusion on the broadcast. While the Hollywood star is not new to the NBA world, the fans were taken aback by his strong presence that detracted from the game.

The fans took to social media to express their dissatisfaction, with the overall strategy chosen by the league. They claimed that at various sections, Kevin Hart was the focal point of the game. In addition to that, an intermission was also introduced with Mr Beast, which further deterred the viewers.

Majority of the modifications had been made to bring in an entertainment tactic to All-Star. Despite the league’s efforts to reinvigorate the All-Star weekend, the fans felt it deviated from serving its primary purpose.
