This NBA offseason has been a rollercoaster, featuring blockbuster moves from young stars like Anfernee Simons and Jalen Green to seasoned veterans like Kevin Durant and Chris Paul. And the action isn’t slowing down. Reports suggest former Miami Heat forward and current free agent Kevin Love could be on the move next.
Having been acquired by the Utah Jazz last year in a three-team transaction, Love was sent to the Heat this past season. The former Heat player has had limited game time this past season, but his experience, leadership, force-facing, and rebounding in key moments can prove valuable to whichever side he chooses to move on from here.
As per NBA reporter Brett Siegel, Love is interested in the ‘glamor market’, i.e., the Los Angeles Lakers or the Los Angeles Clippers. There’s no hiding that the NBA veteran isn’t the same anymore; he is way past his prime at this moment. If Love were to join the Lakers, he would surely team up with his former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate, LeBron James. But as mentioned before, Love is way past the Cavs form that one would expect.

Despite that, Love’s experience can be an important factor in any of the Los Angeles teams agreeing to a deal for the veteran heading into the 2025-26 campaign. For now, Love is set to start the upcoming season with the Jazz. As per his contract, he has one year left for $4.1 million.
However, the New York Knicks, as per various reports, are not that interested in the 2016 NBA champion. This gives the Lakers and the Clippers a clear track to add a big man, especially with immense experience on their roster.
Fans left annoyed with Kevin Love seeking a move to the Lakers or the Clippers
With the new season on the horizon, it seems NBA big man and veteran, Kevin Love, is seeking a move away from the Jazz, and his likely destinations are the Los Angeles Clippers or the Los Angeles Lakers. However, many do not agree with this because they feel that the big man is way past his prime.

Some even went as far as to joke that Love would join the Lakers/Clippers as a coach, showcasing their annoyance towards this particular report. Check out some of the fan reactions below:

Despite the fans making a big ruckus about the situation, it’s not all doom and gloom because Love would come with immense qualities. Although he will play for a limited time, his experience and leadership will surely play a part in whichever side the NBA veteran chooses to join. Last season, Love averaged 5.3 points per game, but he can provide a major boost off the bench for a rotation that’s relatively thin in the frontcourt.
NBA reporter feels the Knicks are the best-suited side for Kevin Love ahead of the new season
The Utah Jazz are stacked with plenty of big men on their roster, with their mission to offload some ahead of the new season, one of them being Kevin Love. NBA reporter Jeremy Brener of Sports Illustrated is in alignment with the fact that Love could join the Knicks in the upcoming season. Brener feels that the Knicks are best suited for Love ahead of this season.
After being traded to the Jazz, Kevin Love is expected to agree to a buy-out, and will enter free agency.
