65-year-old legend backs Linda McMahon’s nomination in Donald Trump’s cabinet; says WWE tenure with Vince McMahon was never her passion

As Donald Trump gears up for a second term in the White House, he has made a few nominations to his ambitious cabinet. Not that long ago, the president-elect vested his allegiance in former WWE CEO & Chairman Linda McMahon to be the US Secretary of Education. While it has been a bone of contention among the local media, Kevin Nash believes it’s the right move.
The wrestling great spoke on ‘Kliq This’ podcast to evince McMahon’s years-old foray into the realm of education. Nash fondly recalled the time she got to sit on the board of Connecticut’s Education Department in 2009. The WWE Hall of Famer continued saying that had she not been swayed into the wrestling business by Vince McMahon, she’d have pursued her passion, i.e., education. Linda has said on record that she wanted to become a teacher.
Although that would remain a dream of hers, McMahon can certainly affect the existing state of education in the United States. Her daughter, Stephanie McMahon, recently broke silence on the matter. She congratulated her mother on becoming a two-time cabinet member. Steph went on to write that Linda’s grandchildren and the entire family are proud of her.
Had she not went in the direction that she did with Vince and as far as taking over the company and getting in the wrestling business and being the CEO, I think her passion was always education.

McMahon has been a long-term ally of Trump. When the latter was in his first term of presidency, Linda served as the 25th administrator of the Small Business Administration. Notably, the 76-year-old is jointly leading Trump’s presidential transition team at the moment. Linda’s political record hasn’t been inspiring.
She has had a couple of failed attempts for the seat of Senate from Connecticut back in 2009 and 2010. Although a place in US Congress has always eluded her, she’s about to shove those setbacks on the back burner with a role in Trump’s administration.

A backing of all sorts from Donald Trump has put Linda McMahon on the brink of a new life. As if her past wasn’t behind her already, it is certainly now. Also, her notoriously estranged husband, Vince McMahon, is off her chest.
The two are separated, per Linda’s attorney. They hadn’t been together for years and were expected to split one day. Vince continues to be investigated by the Department of Justice for his alleged hush money coverups in the past.
Not to mention that the charges put forth against him by Janel Grant are currently on pause at the plea of DOJ. McMahon doesn’t have a role with WWE, and he was also forced to resign from his holding in TKO earlier this year.
