“You’re selfish,” Kevin Owens blasts Sami Zayn for not caring about his family ahead of their unsanctioned match at Elimination Chamber

On March 1, at Elimination Chamber, two compatriots-cum-belligerents will go at it again. As made official on Raw this past Monday, Sami Zayn will indeed get his hands on Kevin Owens in an unsanctioned match in Toronto. Breaking silence on it, Owens took to X. He called out Zayn for being selfish.
The Prizefighter mentioned the ordeal both of their families would go through if they advanced the already strife-torn affair. Just when Owens asked Sami to think about his own wife and kid for once, Kevin filmed into Sami’s house, evincing he’d been stalking the former Bloodline member. In the clip, one could see Zayn in a jolly place with his family.
KO spared a thought for Sami’s wife and son, as they’d have to see him end Zayn’s career at the Elimination Chamber. And for that, in Kevin’s eyes, Sami is indeed selfish, not caring what consequences the upcoming fight will have on his beloved ones. These men have wrestled each other one too many times but it never gets old.
They’ve had a couple of WrestleMania moments too—in 2021, where Owens had the last laugh, and again in 2023, where they successfully teamed up against The Usos. It’s time to settle their beef once and for all. Owens squandered a golden opportunity to become WWE Champion at Royal Rumble. He has since blamed Sami for not helping him out.
Meanwhile, Zayn believes he did more for Kevin by prioritizing his well-being. But if that doesn’t make Owens feel good about him, the ex-Honorary Uce is ready to tame his outspoken former best friend. Sami’s neck is still banged up after Kevin decked him with a package piledriver on Raw a few days ago.
What’s next for Kevin Owens after the Sami Zayn hurdle?
It appears like the long-standing personal animosity between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will have its closure at the Elimination Chamber. If that’s so, where do they go from there? As for The Prizefighter, he’s reportedly set to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41.
It’s worth mentioning that the Quebec-born grappler first used the longtime outlawed package piledriver on The Viper himself. It was a few days into November 2024. Since then, over a hundred days have gone by, but Orton’s yet to return. When he does, The Apex Predator is more than likely to go after the Canuck.
Speaking of Zayn’s future post-Elimination Chamber, he could still feud with Karrion Kross. At worst, the former IC Champ might even get snubbed out of creative plans for WrestleMania. Time will tell if WWE has something better up its sleeve for the Underdog from the Underground.
