Kevin Owens shows up on Raw to finally confront Sami Zayn. However, things take a much different turn than expected.
Kevin Owens reveals why he is not mad at Sami Zayn for teaming with Roman Reigns (via WWE)
The current WWE transfer window is in full swing, with various superstars making cross-brand appearances. The latest episode of Raw featured SmackDown superstar Kevin Owens making an appearance in Dallas, Texas, to have a conversation with his friend, Sami Zayn. As always, the 40-year-old had his Winged Eagle Championship with him throughout the segment.
On the latest episode of Raw, Kevin Owens came out to interrupt a promo by the 40-year-old. The Underdog from the Underground said that he was waiting for the day when his friend would attack him. The former Universal Champion stated that his decision was much different from what Cody Rhodes had done. He said that Zayn has a lot of history with Roman Reigns, just like he does with him.
Sami Zayn had forgiven Reigns for the terrible things that he did to him, but he had also forgiven Owens for every time he betrayed him. The AntiChrist of Pro Wrestling did not see his friend as someone who betrayed him but instead as someone who had forgiven two people. Thus, the former Ring of Honor Champion proposed that they would both have each other’s backs at the Royal Rumble and could main event WrestleMania one-on-one like they always dreamed of doing.
“KO is a hypocrite he never got mad at Sami for teaming with Roman”

This right here is a perfect reason why KO didn’t get mad.
KO sees Sami as a person who forgave 2 people that did him wrong.#WWERaw pic.twitter.com/ECds6fsxZl
Owens coming after Zayn felt inevitable to most fans. The Prizefighter turned on his close friend, Cody Rhodes, because he had teamed up with Reigns. Thus, he was definitely going to come for a man who was not only much closer to the Canadian but also helped him out at WarGames in a much greater capacity. However, WWE has definitely thrown a very interesting plot twist into this story.
WWE analyst Sam Roberts predicts Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes’ contract signing at Saturday Night’s Main Event
WWE recently announced that Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens will be present at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event in San Antonio, Texas. They would be signing a contract for their ladder match at the Royal Rumble at the exact same show where they met a month ago for the WWE Undisputed Championship.
Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling Podcast, Sam Roberts gave his predictions for how he thought that this segment would go down. The most interesting part of this segment to him was the involvement of Shawn Michaels. He suggested that Mr. WrestleMania would be a huge fan of getting physical, and could take a stunner from the SmackDown superstar.
Roberts thought that there was no way that Michaels would take a piledriver at this age. However, they could show Owens going for the piledriver and Rhodes saving HBK at the last moment, similar to what happened on SmackDown with Rey Mysterio.
