After three and a half games, Shedeur Sanders has left no doubt that he can lead the Cleveland Browns, as long as head coach Kevin Stefanski is in sync with his 5th-round pick.
The 23-year-old did not start strong, but has since given enough proof that with some guidance, he can at least place his team in scoring positions.
Last game was a perfect example, as the Colorado Buffaloes star threw for 3 touchdowns, ran for 1, and set his team up for a few more scores. If only Stefanski had not had a momentary lapse in concentration, Sanders would have recorded the second win of his career.
Other than that egregious mistake, it seems the 43-year-old head coach saw enough from his quarterback that he ended up naming him as the starting signal caller for the rest of the season.
All along, as you know, with our quarterbacks and our young players, we are always making sure they are making the right decisions for our guys. He has constantly and consistently gotten better… He’s been working very hard.
Kevin Stefanski said in the Browns’ video conference
Stefanski reiterated that his starting QB has been working on all the areas that his coaches have asked him to improve. In fact, he saw some of those improvements from Shedeur Sanders in their two-point loss to the Titans.

He hopes the Texas native continues to improve as they work towards making something out of their final four games. Even though those games will be tough, his teammates are happy with what Sanders brings to the organization.
Browns defender praises Shedeur Sanders’ dedication
Before Kevin Stefanski committed to Shedeur Sanders, his teammates were already in the rookie’s corner, especially after his performance in their win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

He brings an energy of his own. Shedeur’s been the same person since he stepped foot in Cleveland… He’s always that happy-go-lucky person in the locker room… When I come into the facility, I see him in the office every day with Coach Stefanski… He’s a poised rookie… We’re going to be behind him.
Alex Wright said
The defensive end’s words indicate that not only are the vibes great inside the locker room, but he also praised his rookie’s dedication to his craft by doing what is necessary to help the team succeed.

This is a remarkable difference from the time when the excessive media coverage on the team was initially termed as a distraction, and how it could negatively affect both the players and the coaches.
Rich Eisen praises Shedeur Sanders’ ability to handle the media
Now that teammates have appreciated the positive vibes Shedeur Sanders has brought to the team, the media have also started to notice how the rookie has handled himself while facing a wide variety of questions.
Each time he has knocked it out of the park… Every single time, he has nailed it when put in a position by the media or the football gods to second-guess his coach or the setup around him.
Rich Eisen said on his show
The veteran host and analyst reiterated that all the signs were towards a negative atmosphere, and how reporters tried their best to coax the QB into saying something that would become media fodder.

Instead, Eisen has nothing but praise for Sanders, after handling every question thrown at him with poise. The analyst believes that giving the right answers has turned the blanket opinion about the Browns’ star from an entitled prospect to one that knows what should be said and done.
