In the current UFC roster, there are several animated characters who don’t shy away from hilariously trolling their opponents. One notable name on this list is UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili. Recently, Dvalishvili took another jab at his upcoming opponent, Umar Nurmagomedov, as he recreated the iconic photo of Khabib Nurmagomedov and his brothers in a jacuzzi.
Recently, Merab Dvalishvili attended the pre-fight press conference for UFC 311, where his rival, Nurmagomedov, was also present. During the conference, Dvalishvili humorously referenced the viral jacuzzi photo of Nurmagomedov and his brothers. He later went a step further by recreating that iconic image with himself and editing Umar into the picture as the photographer.
Over the years, there have been several notable relationships of brotherhood within the UFC community. One prominent example is Nate Diaz and Nick Diaz. Similarly, Nurmagomedov and his brothers from Dagestan are also well-known. Although Khabib’s siblings do not compete in the UFC, his cousins do participate in the promotion. Interestingly, Dvalishvili’s upcoming opponent, Nurmagomedov, is one of Khabib’s cousins.
Dvalishvili’s recent post, where he recreated an image of Khabib and his brothers in a jacuzzi, was another attempt to troll Umar. This isn’t the first time the UFC bantamweight champion has teased his Dagestani rival. Alongside his trolling of the ’Young Eagle’, Dvalishvili harbors significant animosity toward his upcoming opponent. In fact, he has issued a stern warning to Umar in anticipation of their fight next month.

Merab Dvalishvili has emerged as one of the most improved fighters in the UFC bantamweight division. Currently, the Georgian fighter is on an impressive eleven-fight win streak in the promotion. His most recent victory came against Sean O’Malley, where he claimed the title of the UFC bantamweight champion. Despite Dvalishvili’s consistent and impressive performances, Umar Nurmagomedov has repeatedly criticized him.
The Young Eagle is an emerging contender in the UFC bantamweight division who has long sought a world title. Following his consecutive dominating victories, Umar considers himself one of the top fighters in the division. This led him to make several callouts to Dvalishvili, which included some disrespectful remarks. In response, the bantamweight champion stated that this fight has now become personal for him.
Of course, it’s personal. Because every time I see him (Umar), I give him my respect. I shake his hand. I even (told) him that I’m going to fight him one day. And now he starts (talking) trash online. And real men don’t do this, you know. So okay, it’s a personal (fight) for me, yeah.

According to UFC CEO Dana White, Dvalishvili grew tired of the disrespectful comments made by the Dagestani fighter. As a result, he agreed to fight Umar in his first title defense. The fight is scheduled for January 18 at the Intuit Dome. It will be interesting to see how Khabib’s dark horse performs in this crucial matchup of his career.
