The UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov announced his retirement at UFC 254 following his win against the interim champion Justin Gaethje. With this win Khabib took his undefeated streak to 29-0, many of the people wanted him to come back for one last run even Dana White insisted it but Khabib isn’t interested as he has bigger plans.

Earlier Khabib announced that he is starting his own telecom service provider company and now news broke in that ‘The Eagle’ buys the MMA Promotion Gorilla Fighting Championship for an amount of $ 1 billion. The promotion better known as GFC operates out of Khabib’s native place Dagestan. The promotion has two of its event lined up for this year in December.

One of the Russian journalists Azamat Bostanov reported that Khabib has brought this GFC promotion and in the future, it can be also renamed ‘The Eagle Fighting Championship’ (EFC). Not only will the promotion change its name he also told that the promotion will also work outside Russian territories now targeting majorly Arabian and the United States.

‘The Eagle’ shared an Instagram post written over it “See you soon Dana White”. Maybe this is what Khabib wanted to talk to Dana about. Maybe Khabib is planning to propose Dana White a partnership to have a newly branded EFC streamed on UFC Fight Pass. It isn’t sure yet but there is a possibility of this.

Khabib has announced that he is having a press conference on 2 December in Moscow maybe he will make an official announcement about this in the press conference.
