The undisputed UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov walked away from UFC following his win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. This win also made ‘The Eagle’ number one pound-for-pound fighter, after defeating every single opponent in his MMA carrier no one can deny that Khabib is one of the best Lightweight fighters in the world.

There were only a few times The Eagle faced difficulty against certain fighters in his MMA carrier. Khabib faced Michael Johnson in 2015 it was one of those fights in which Khabib appeared to be stun. In 2018 Khabib faced Conor McGregor this fight was emotionally tough for him rather than inside Octagon because of the events that happened before the fight.

However, there was one fighter that appeared to be a genuine threat for Khabib that was Gleison Tibau. Khabib named him one of his toughest UFC fighters, in an interview with Fight sport Khabib says “I think it would be wrong to single out someone alone, The most difficult is the one with whom I fought in October 2018, more emotionally, probably than physically. Gleison Tibau in 2012.”

In the fight, Khabib has more significant strikes as well as 46-33. But still, in the end, Khabib won this fight by the unanimous decision of the judges.

While talking about his opponents Khabib named Dustin Poirier as a mentally tough opponent because he had to deal with added pressure entering this fight. Khabib says, “It was very difficult to fight Dustin Poirier emotionally because my father was in the corner, and I understood the responsibility,”

“The fight took place in Abu Dhabi, and almost the entire stadium was rooting for me. For the first time in my career, my elder brother was present in the hall. A lot of close people and relatives flew in, so I understood that the responsibility was very high. When close people are near, it is a little hard.”
