Khabib was quoted as saying, “No [I never contemplated coming back], but Dana called this official. But I retired like five, six months ago. It’s very funny. Dana told me when he posted this, he said someone write comment about me, ‘He retired not today, he retired like five months ago.’ It’s funny a little bit, but we have some conversations with Dana a couple of times. Like two days ago, we meet with him, sit, talk like two real men. We have a very good conversation with him, good dinner.” [via MMA Fighting]

Khabib, however assured that he would be sticking around with the UFC, as he has got a lot of his brothers and cousins doing well in the UFC (namely Islam Makachev, Umar Nurmagomedov). He surely seems to believe that he can be a great coach, as he is always seen accompanying his brothers.
