Khabib Nurmagomedov set to attend UFC 257; doesn’t mind running into Conor McGregor

Khabib Nurmagomedov is set to attend UFC 257, which is headlined by Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier. He also didn’t write off the possibility of the UFC trying to set the two up. (Conor and Khabib) It is to be noted that Khabib has tapped out both Conor and Dustin in his UFC career.

Khabib Nurmagomedov, the now-retired undefeated UFC lightweight in an interview said that he would be in attendance at UFC 257, as a few of his teammates and fighters from his camp are set to feature in it. He also revealed that he wouldn’t care much if he ran into his nemesis Conor McGregor in the ringside.

Speaking to the media in Russia, Khabib said he wouldn’t care if he ran into Conor McGregor at UFC 257. Speaking of which he said, “Why should I think about that? I’ll act based on the situation. If you don’t like someone or they don’t like you, it’s OK. If I meet someone I don’t like, I’ll act based on the situation.“ [via RT Sport]

Khabib replied, “Now we’re having a serious conversation. “Maybe they could. They’re able to do that. Anything can happen. It could be Moscow, Abu Dhabi, New York… Believe me, they’re the best at that. No one compares to them [the UFC],” when asked if the UFC will try to set up Conor and Khabib to cross paths. Conor and Khabib had a nasty encounter, when Conor McGregor attacked Khabib’s bus back in April 2018. So, “The Eagle” also made it pretty clear that he wasn’t hoping a repeat of such an incident when he attends UFC 257.
