It’s been almost 20 days since Khabib Nurmagomedov retired, immediately after dominating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. But, that doesn’t stop the name of the potential consensus GOAT from popping up in debates and conversations. Firstly, it was Jon Jones who kept making a comparison of himself to the Russian, when a majority of people began proclaiming that Khabib is the GOAT.

More recently, it is Ali Abdelaziz, Khabib’s manager who has taken a swipe at Khabib’s nemesis Conor McGregor, as Conor had recently taken to social media to celebrate the four-year anniversary of him becoming the double champion after knocking out Eddie Alvarez.

“This is the only champ” – Ali Abdelaziz on Twitter

Reminiscing the day he became the double champ, Conor retweeted UFC’s tweet of the same and then posted a photo of Dana White holding the two division belts, with the caption, “World Champ Champ Day, you love to see it.”

The tweet wasn’t aimed at Ali Abdelaziz, but it still didn’t sit well with him. He posted a tweet in reply posting a photo of Khabib’s name at the apex of the Pound-for-Pound rankings, with the caption, “This is the only champ.”

This is nothing new, as Ali Abdelaziz and Conor have been feuding ever since the UFC 229 weekend. And Conor is yet to respond to Khabib’s manager. What do you think of Ali Abdelaziz’s comments on Conor? Although he has a point, was he right in triggering Conor?
