It was party time in Los Angeles on Monday as the Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated their back-to-back titles in front of their fans at Dodger Stadium. During the victory parade, outfielder Kike Hernandez dropped an unapologetic take regarding his time while taking a swipe at their critics.

The Dodgers stunned the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday in Game 7 of the World Series. They fell 3-0 down in the third inning through a 3-run home run from Bo Bichette against Shohei Ohtani.

After pulling 2 runs back through two sacrifice flies, the Dodgers found themselves 4-2 down in the bottom of the 6th inning. A solo home run from Max Muncy cut the deficit to one run and kept the National League side alive.

With one gone in the 9th, Miguel Rojas clubbed his 1st home run of this postseason. The veteran became the first player in MLB history to hit a game-tying home run in the 9th inning or later in Game 7 of the World Series.

He then showed off his defensive skills at the bottom of the frame. A crucial throw at home plate just in time kept the Blue Jays from walking it off. A solid catch from Andy Pages after colliding with Kike Hernandez kept the game tied and forced extra innings.

The Dodgers took the lead in the 11th inning through their third solo home run of the game. Catcher Will Smith smashed the ball into left field off Shane Bieber to put the visitors in front for the first time in the game. A sharp double play in the bottom of the 11th inning ended the game and saw the Dodgers repeat as champions.

The Dodgers thus became the first team in 25 years to repeat as champions. The last time to do so before them was the New York Yankees in 2000, when they clinched their 3rd straight title. This also marked the Dodgers’ 3rd triumph in 6 years.

During the victory celebration on Monday, Kike Hernandez would get loose and drop some big statements. The 34-year-old claimed he was done being ‘humble‘ about his team being a dynasty and dropped some massive bombs in his speech.

My teammates have been pretty humble, but I think it’s time to talk that s***. Everybody’s been asking questions about a dynasty. How about three in six years? How about back to back? We’re a mother f***** dynasty, baby. I want to take this time to apologize to absolutely f***** nobody. The three-time champ does whatever the f*** he wants!

Kike Hernandez said during his speech

This year, Hernandez went past Justin Turner to become the player with the most playoff appearances for the Dodgers. In his 9 postseason appearances, the outfielder has now played in 92 games for the LA-based side.

Kike Hernandez clapped back at MLB analyst’s dig towards Dodgers following victory over Blue Jays

The country of Canada suffered a massive heartbreak this past Saturday as the Toronto Blue Jays lost Game 7 in extra innings. Following the game, an MLB analyst had some interesting choice of words for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Kike Hernandez would later clap back at him.

The Blue Jays were the dominant team in the series and outscored the Dodgers 34-26 in 7 games. Despite this, they were unable to get the job done.

After the game, Sportsnet analyst and former MLB catcher Caleb Joseph claimed that the “best team” did not win the series.

It’s gonna sound like sour grapes and I don’t really give a s***, but I think the better team did not win this seriesIt’s disheartening to see that the better team did not win. That’s not to take anything away from the Dodgers, but the Blue Jays did so many things correct.

Caleb Joseph said after Blue Jays’ Game 7 loss

Hernandez would hit back at Joseph’s comment on Instagram. In a post, he would pose with the Commissioner’s Trophy and expressed that he was happy that the better team did not win the series.

I’M SO HAPPY THE BETTER TEAM DIDN’T WIN!! #MyGuys

Hernandez will become a free agent once again this offseason. He is one of the top names from the Dodgers team who will enter the free agency market. It remains to be seen whether he will return to the team again or not.
