I think she's going to, you know, have a fairly easy. She has no weaknesses as her matches are all pretty straightforward, and nobody really troubles her, so it's unless you can hit her off the court… I think yeah, she's not going to have any problems with anybody really.

Only four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka troubled her during the second round as Swiatek was on the cusp of defeat and later won the match in three sets. After overcoming Osaka, the Pole did what she is best known for, that is bagging bagels one after the other. Against Anastasia Potapova in the fourth round, Swiatek won in 40 minutes with scores of 6-0, 6-0.

Kim Clijsters praises Iga Swiatek’s backhand

Kim Clijsters thinks Iga Swiatek‘s backhand is harder to read because of the way she plays that shot, and claims that it confuses the Pole’s opponents. The former World No.1 from Belgium called Swiatek’s grip and technique a bit unconventional.

She has, you know, her backhand… a lot is harder to read. I just find it…like, she's just able to change directions like without…you know a lot of players, you know you can anticipate, kind of yeah, like that's going to be cross court or this… But with her, it's so hard to read.

Swiatek is 45/4 on the season and bagged five titles, including the Roland Garros. The win in Paris also made her the first player alongside Carlos Alcaraz to cross the $30 mark in career prize money

Swiatek broke several records after clinching the French Open title. She became the first player since Serena Williams in 2013 to win titles in Madrid, Rome, and Paris. The win also made Swiatek the first woman to win three French Open titles on the trot since Justine Henin (2005-2007). Swiatek’s next target is Wimbledon, where she did her best last year by reaching the quarterfinals.
