Yates’ signing comes off as a surprise to the MLB world right after Tanner Scott’s 4-year $72 million deal. The Dodgers signed back-to-back stars in the lineup including Yates, Scott, and Japanese ace pitcher Roki Sasaki.
Sasaki joined the team last week following a minor league contract of $6.5 million. The MLB world is enraged at the Dodger’s spending spree and has asked the league to take action.
