The NFL fans at the preseason game between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Los Angeles Rams had a special moment to remember. Most of them went in to watch the game but had a massive flop waiting for them. The audience at the match was surprised with a kiss cam proposal. They were shocked at the proposal as it ended horrendously.

During the game at the SoFi Stadium on Saturday, the kiss cam segment played in the second quarter of the game went viral. The final couple – a man wearing a Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua jersey and a woman wearing a Chargers jersey. As soon as the camera covered the couple, the man asked the cameraman to wait while he bent down on one knee. His girlfriend seemed to realize what he was about to ask and started shaking her head.

That wasn’t enough damage as the crowd erupted into cheers, anticipating the end to be like every grand proposal. As his girlfriend appeared to stop him from proposing, he received surprising reactions from the crowd. It couldn’t have gone any worse, except it did. Simultaneously, a woman walking down the stairs accidentally tripped and dumped nachos and a drink on the taken-aback guy’s jersey.

Rams vs. Chargers game stirred confusion with the proposal fail

While the fans saw the Los Angeles Rams beat the Chargers 13-9 in the game, they couldn’t wrap their heads around the proposal. Although, as per sources, the whole thing was staged. The ‘couple’ was actually two game presentation assistants who helped the team on game day. Nonetheless, it gave fans quite some to talk about.

Some fans pitied him on the guy’s worst night of his life.

On the other hand, some knew the kiss cam proposal was staged and called people out on their gullibility. They even went ahead to suggest that the actors could have been better.

While some tried to see the silver lining of it all.

Thankfully, the proposal turned out to be staged. Even if it wasn’t, at least the fan got to see his team beat the Chargers as they now prepare for their match with the Lions on Sept. 8.
