Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have been the leaders of the Golden State Warriors’ incredible rise in the past decade. The last ten years have been nothing short of magical for the franchise, winning four championships in six trips to the NBA Finals. Huge credit for these achievements goes to the “Splash Brothers,” Thompson, and Curry. They have shown up every single time the team needed them, setting multiple records, and leading their team to victories.
Thompson and Curry have not only been partners on the court but are also great friends off it. The former elaborated on their friendship when asked about it in the post-game interview after the Warriors beat the Kings 126-125 in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series.
A reporter asked Thompson his views on playing alongside Curry and how his journey was along with the Splash Brother. Thompson had one of the sweetest, most heart-warming answers. He said, “I’ve admired Steph long before he was a Warrior… I just appreciate his hard work. I get to see it every day… Just to still be out here playing in playoff games with him. These times I’ll cherish for the rest of my life”.
Thompson and Curry’s chemistry is one for the ages, as fans say. One pointed out, saying “The golden state version of the “the last dance” documentary is gonna be insane.” While others appreciated the fact that Thompson was able to give a genuine and emotional answer.
While Thompson expressed his desire of wanting to carve out a legacy alongside Curry, fans corrected him. They said the duo had already created a legacy that would be tough to match, forget beating it. Let us now look at the Warriors’ game against the Kings.
Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry combine to help Warriors beat the Kings in Game 4

The Golden State Warriors kept their playoff hopes after tying the series at 2-2 with a win in Game 4 against the Kings. Sacramento left the Warriors in a 0-2 hole after winning the first two games of the series at home. This was the first time Curry faced an 0-2 deficit in the playoffs. But that didn’t last too long despite the controversial officiating. The Warriors have now won two straight games against the Kings, and are now even.
Stephen Curry led the way for the Warriors with 32 points, four assists, and five rebounds. Klay Thompson followed with 26 points, three assists, and two rebounds. Jordan Poole scored 22, and the rest of the team also made valuable contributions on both ends of the court to help the Warriors secure a crucial win.
The path to victory wasn’t easy. Curry’s error nearly caused a defeat for the Warriors. He mistakenly called for a timeout when the team had none left, resulting in a technical foul, giving the Kings possession. This allowed Sacramento to narrow the difference from five points to just one in the last minute of the game. Despite the lucky break, the Kings couldn’t capitalize, and the Warriors ultimately won 126-125, tying the series at 2-2.
For the Kings, De’Aaron Fox led the way with 38 points, five assists, and nine rebounds. Keegan Murray followed with 23 points, while Malik Monk added 16. The teams will face each other again in Game 5 on Wednesday in Sacramento.
