Knockout artist Joaquin Buckley set to face Alessio di Chirico on the 16th of January, next year in Fight Island
Joaquin Buckley, the knockout artist whose highlight reel knockout against Impa Kasanganay took the world by storm, is set to face 31-year-old Italian, Alessio Di Chirico on the 16th of January, next year, in Fight Island. The news was first broken by Nolan King of MMA Junkie, as he took to Twitter to claim that, himself and Farah Hannoun (fellow MMA Junkie reporter) had received news from multiple sources that the fight was on.
The news was later confirmed by MMA Fighting, and finally by Buckley himself, who took to Instagram, posting a story, thereby setting up a lip-smacking clash against Di Chirico.
Alessio Di Chirico is currently stuck in a rut!
“#Breaking: Joaquin Buckley has his next fight. He’ll take on Alessio Di Chirico on Jan. 16, multiple sources tell @Farah_Hannoun and me,” Nolan King tweeted.
Joaquin Buckley has had an amazing year, starting off with a knockout victory over Jackie Gosh, he stumbled against Kevin Holland in his next fight. But, ‘the New Mansa’ came back stronger than ever, with a knockout that shattered the viewer count records; used by Kanye West, to promote his new song; reached the White House, impressing Donald Trump – talk about overnight sensation! He again followed it up with a performance of the night, with a second round knockout victory over Jordan Wright and he currently looks to be in the form of his life.
Alessio di Chirico, on the other hand, is currently stuck in a rut, with three consecutive losses in his last three fights. Although, all his three losses were via. unanimous decision, the Italian will have to find a way out, to get back to winning ways.
