Gilbert Arenas has been enjoying his life lately following an illustrious NBA career. He started a podcast called The Gil’s Arena Show where he discusses various topics in and around the NBA. Arenas has also been hosting parties to get away from his hectic schedule. He hosted a Monday Night Football Tailgate party recently, where former Los Angeles Lakers star Nick Young was also present.
During the celebrations, Arenas and Young got into a wager, which the latter lost. As a result, Young had to leap from a roof into a swimming pool. According to the wager, Arenas and a visitor were supposed to swim in the event the former lost.
Arenas responded to the guest’s request for $2,000 by stating that two people, one of them being Young, would have to jump off the roof if he won. With Young being hesitant to jump from the rooftop at first, Arenas declared that he would give him ’10 racks’ ($10,000) if he made the jump.
Young seemingly agreed to this and made the jump while claiming that ‘it was scary’ up there. It’s important to note that, neither Young nor Arenas were hurt during these celebrations.
Young also enjoyed his time in the NBA, particularly with the Los Angeles Lakers. He shared the court with many NBA legends, including the late Kobe Bryant and the current Lakers star LeBron James. During his NBA career, Young spent twelve seasons with six clubs, with the Lakers and Wizards being two of them. With 720 games in the regular season, he averaged 11.4 points and clinched one NBA title (2018) in his career.
Nick Young opens up on Kobe Bryant’s harsh treatment of Jeremy Lin
Former NBA player Nick Young once gave a fascinating story about the late Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and Jeremy Lin. During a Lakers practice, Young said that Lin attempted to confront Bryant at a time when he was one of the Lakers’ most decorated players. Bryant took offense to this and gave Lin the silent treatment for the remainder of the campaign.
Bryant, who was renowned for his high standards and fierce competition, did not respond well to Lin’s approach. Young claimed that Bryant abruptly interrupted Lin when he attempted to speak.
