Krafton brings more anti-cheat measures to curb hackers in Battlegrounds Mobile India

It seems that the pleas of several players in Battlegrounds Mobile India to restrict hackers didn’t go in vain as Krafton has brought more anti-cheat measures in order to eliminate a significant number of hackers who are using unfair means to manipulate matches in the game.

From the past few months, the incidents of hacking are tremendously increasing in the game. As a result, several players are turning their back towards the game. Not only that, prominent content creators have been raising their voices against the hackers as it is impossible to play the game fairly when every match contains one or two hackers. The officials realized that the anti-cheat system in the game wasn’t enough to ban the hackers and this prompted them to take stricter actions so that they can create a fair gaming environment.

Krafton’s next steps to eliminate hackers in Battlegrounds Mobile India

Krafton has released an official notice earlier today explaining that a fair gameplay is their top priority, inspite of taking every possible measure, the number of hackers seem to be rising with each passing day. Although they have banned around 3 million players who were caught using cheating tools from having access to the game, cheaters are still existing in the game.

The official post reads as-

“Dear BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA fans,

Measures against illegal programs, cheats and cheaters remain our top priority.

We have noted countless reports of cheaters using illegal programs to gain advantage. A cheater is a cheater, and we understand your frustration when you come across one.

We would like to take this opportunity to tell you the steps we have taken, and more importantly, the steps we will be taking to make BGMI a fair gaming environment.

We work daily on logic enforcement and updates to illegal programs, blocking ad channels, and monitoring real-time, and have permanently sanctioned more than 1.52 million accounts till date and are working on modernizing our systems.”

The developers have taken the following measures to eliminate hackers –

More detailed revalidation of game data for top ranked users

Krafton will do detailed scrutiny of the top rankings of the leaderboards.

• If you are using cheats, you will be banned.
• If you are promoting cheats or cheat assisted rank push, you will be banned.
• If you have cheated in the past and are not currently cheating right now, you will be handed to a permanent ban.

Prevent advertising of cheaters and cheat programs

Krafton will take strong actions against the players who are advertising the sale of illegal programs and cheats through in-game profile images on other websites. The player’s account maight also be subjected to permanent ban.

Strengthen the security system

The anti-cheat security system that is existing in Battlegrounds Mobile India will be strengthened as the developers will make closer analysis of those who use illegal programs.

Prominent faces of BGMI such as Mortal, Scout and Jonathan have expressed their concerns over rising number of hackers in the game. Most of the hackers are using miscellaneous cheating tools to make wall hacks, muted footsteps and more. Scout has commented that 9 out of 10 matches in BGMI is filled with hackers and if the officials don’t take any necessary step, BGMI might lose its popularity. Jonathan also requested the officials to take prompt action and ban the hackers.

In the official notice, Krafton has also added that they take every report seriously, therefore, players should keep on reporting to the officials if they encounter any hacker in the game.
