Either way, YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI was seemingly determined to face an MMA fighter in his next boxing match. But then, he drew new GFL signing Dillon Danis. The Danis vs. KSI card is titled Misfits Boxing “Unfinished Business” – and it will stream on DAZN PPV (pay-per-view).

KSI will take on jiu-jitsu ace Dillon Danis in a 185-pound fight. The match will take place March 29, at AO Arena in Manchester, England; KSI’s Misfits Boxing recently announced the affair. Danis, due to his recent infamy, has been drawing strays on the matter. The rival said if it were up to him, he’d fight anyone and everyone else in the MMA spectrum.

I know I’m not even supposed to say this, but f*ck it, bro: Dillon Danis wasn’t even my fourth choice, …We went to Nate Diaz, he said no. We went to Donald Cerrone, he said no. We went to Tony Ferguson, he said no. These guys said no to me. I’m there confused as to why a footballer wants to fight me, but these top UFC, ex-UFC fighters don’t…We went to Masvidal to fight, and he couldn’t do it because [UFC contract]. Like, guys, we’ve been trying to find people to fight.

KSI, 31, may be disappointed to have finally settled for Danis, but at least, he’s fighting someone his own age. His other options – Nate Diaz, 39; Donald Cerrone, 41; Tony Ferguson, 40; and Jorge Masvidal, 40. Diaz and Masvidal recently boxed in a 10-round majority decision affair for Fanmio Pay-per-view boxing. Diaz, who completed out his contract, is surfing his boxing/MMA fighter attire at will.

He has boxed YouTuber pugilist Jake Paul in a boxing bout. Meanwhile, Ferguson is a current draft (Los Angeles) in the new GFL promotion. Cowboy Cerrone is planning a last ‘Yee-Haw’ in UFC, but it’s not taking well. Danis has a history with his new foe. But his current status is not something that has made him a prime draw in place of even these MMA washouts.

KSI (4-1) and Danis (0-1) were originally to meet in January 2023 in a six-round exhibition bout at 178 pounds. However, Danis withdrew 10 days before the fight, and was replaced by game streamer FaZe Temperrr (Thomas Oliveira). It was quite the rivalry back then for the Misfits Boxing ‘Unfinished Business’ DAZN PPV headliners.

After that, Dillon Danis was part of the Misfits & DAZN: X Series 10 setup and faced Logan Paul. Danis faced an uninspired DQ loss and his antics did not drive up the bargain. It is safe to say he isn’t the biggest of names and options to choose. Here is what fans think of those who made the list:

The fans have jibed down the ‘talent’ pool in this MMA fighter listing. Ferguson’s 8-fight losing streak is the longest slump in UFC history. Cerrone and his PED pool blame are not something one can dismiss out of hand. Despite the brass wishing otherwise, he also wants in on the UFC grind again. So, it wouldn’t make sense to fight KSI.

Some have floated actual square ring brawlers like Mike Perry as an option for the Misfits Boxing ‘Unfinished Business’ DAZN PPV card. Darren Till also randomly calls out opponents, and is a surging option. KSI was a mediator for Till’s Misfits & DAZN: X Series 20 canceled setup, before this.
