Despite providing 22 years of excellence in the league, there are many members of the media, fans, and former players, such as Kwame Brown, who criticize LeBron James on many matters. Then some support him, such as former All-Star Gilbert Arenas.
The former Washington Wizards star has been James’ staunchest supporter whenever discussions surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers star go south on his podcast. He has done the same while on his brief appearances on ESPN.
When it came to matters about Bronny James, Arenas was again there to defend his path into the NBA. But another former Laker, Kwame Brown, has criticized James Jr.’s progression last season.
This time, he also talked about how there were improvements. But at the same time, Brown wondered if it was enough to be compared to other good basketball players. Arenas took exception to this and called his former teammate a ‘hater’. Brown responded in kind.
You said I hated on Bronny because my sports take was not only fair, but it was smarter than yours. You’re just a Klutch Sports guzzler. I’m not. My sports take was based on basketball, it was not hating… You just want LeBron to let you coach his kids, and let you drink wine and play poker with him.

The former No. 1 overall pick claims his opinion on Bronny James was purely based on his analysis of his basketball skills. This is why Brown believes Gilbert Arenas‘ words were a result of his former teammate’s intentions to stay on the James family’s good side.
Gilbert Arenas has been attacking Kwame Brown ever since the latter mocked his arrest
Over the past few years, enough instances have proved that Gilbert Arenas and Kwame Brown do not get along. Recently, the latter was on his podcast mocking the federal arrest of his former teammate. That seems to have irked the 3-time All-Star, who said this on his X page.
Right in your nose, I catch it every time. You’re trying to troll me with coke in your nose? You got the white in your nose, and then you got the white girl giving it to you. Man, you cannot do this with me, man. You gotta stay off the… the drugs, man. Because it is too strong for you, dawg.

This particular rant is what led Kwame Brown to respond in the earlier video. There, he addressed Arenas’ mention of his mother, who has passed away. All of these point to an ugly war of words that started ever since the former center mocked his former teammate.
There was a time when Arenas constantly referred to Brown’s tendency to talk while drunk. But the latter clarified, while mocking his former teammate, that he does not drink alcohol.

Since the 3-time All-Star was looking at another way to mock Brown, the mention of drugs and his late mother came up. This has turned ugly, and it is possible that this could continue depending on how the former Wizards star is charged later in September.
Kwame Brown could have the last laugh if Gilbert Arenas is sentenced
Gilbert Arenas might be off the hook for now, but he is set to face trial along with 6 other people come September. Since the feds are helming this case, his boss at ESPN, Stephen A. Smith, warned against trying to take this lightly.

If Arenas is indeed found guilty on all 3 counts, he could face a maximum of 15 years in prison. Arenas has talked about how he was not involved. However, this is the feds and not just a local inquiry.
Therefore, it might be Kwame Brown who could end up having the last laugh. If his former teammate does go to prison, he might likely not stop from ensuring Arenas does not hear the end of it.
