Bronny James is hard at work getting himself ready for the upcoming NBA season. Being the son of LeBron James, he is widely considered one of the hottest prospects in the league. However, with such massive exposure comes great burden. Lately, a fellow Summer League player has revealed just how much pressure the youngster goes through.

While speaking recently on the Locked On Pacers podcast, Kyle Mangas detailed how Bronny James faces intense media attention regularly. According to Mangas, who plays for the Indiana Pacers, he observed firsthand the constant paparazzi Bronny has to face.

There’s so much media surrounding him. We would get off the bus at our hotel, and there’d be 250 people waiting for him to get off just to film and walk into the hotel. You’ve got to feel for a kid like that. There’s just a lot of pressure and publicity, and that’s hard to get away from sometimes. [I] think he handled it pretty well from what I saw.

Bronny James’ journey to the NBA is nothing short of remarkable. He first attracted attention in high school, landing a McDonald’s All-American as a senior. Then he went to college where he played basketball for the USC Trojans. Following his performances there, the Los Angeles Lakers selected him in the 2024 NBA Draft as 55th overall pick. With his steady career progression, he is following in ‘King James’ footsteps.

Bronny James trained with NBA guards ahead of rookie season

Ahead of the 2024-25 NBA season, basketball stars continue to put in the work to be ready for their teams. Players such as Jaylen Brown even underwent intense training in recent days, as preparations heat up. Bronny James was not left out of it either.

The new NBA draftee was working out with both Darius Garland of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Jordan Clarkson of the Utah Jazz. A video, which surfaced on social media, showed the trio training together on attack and defense skills. With James Jr. getting tons of criticisms lately, the session will be beneficial for him against top stars in the league.

While it’s still early days, it is evident the youngster is committed to improving. After a slow start in the NBA Summer League, he turned around his performance and got better in the final games. With his potential, the sky is the limit if Bronny continues to show consistent improvements.
