Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe assured fans that they would not regret him playing for Los Blancos amid recent criticism over his poor form. The 26-year-old recently returned to form in the club’s last few matches after enduring a difficult start to the campaign.
Kylian Mbappe has staged a brilliant comeback, as he has now scored four goals and provided two assists in his last four appearances for Real Madrid. It comes after he was criticized for his poor form and for missing two back-to-back penalties against Liverpool and Athletic Club.
The Frenchman has now notched up 14 goals and four assists in 22 matches and is currently in the middle of a mixed first season in the Spanish capital city. His recent form has helped Carlo Ancelotti reiterate his belief in his abilities. Following his Man of the Match display against Sevilla, the 26-year-old took advantage of the occasion to express his views.
Mbappe shared his aspirations for 2025, stating that he wants to win more titles. The ex-PSG forward also claimed that Real Madrid and its fans would not regret his signing, despite the initial challenges. Mbappe has already won two major titles since joining the club from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, including the UEFA Super Cup and, most recently, the Intercontinental Cup in Qatar.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are now second on the La Liga table, with 40 points from 18 matches. They are just a point behind league leaders Atletico Madrid and, interestingly, just overtook arch-rivals FC Barcelona. Following the Christmas break, Los Blancos are expected to face off against Valencia.
Kylian Mbappe handed a brand new nickname by Real Madrid teammates amid recent return to form
Real Madrid players have reportedly given a new nickname to Kylian Mbappe for his impressive performances in the club’s last few matches. The 26-year-old recently bagged his 10th goal of the season with an impressive strike from outside the box against Sevilla.
It has been at least five months since Mbappe arrived at the Bernabeu. Having spent a good amount of time with the team, his Real Madrid teammates have now decided to call him ‘Mbappepinazo’ in the dressing room. It is linked with the Frenchman’s ability to score from outside the penalty box with great power and precision.
It effectively squashes rumors that had emerged last month over a possible fallout between Mbappe and his club teammates. A video of the Frenchman being ignored by Jude Bellingham in the Anfield tunnel during a 2–0 UCL defeat was doing the rounds on social media.
