Almost four months since Kylian Mbappe played his first game for Real Madrid, it is safe to say that he has failed to live up to the hype. The Frenchman hasn’t been ‘poor’ for the Los Blancos either, with his 10 goals and 2 assists in all competitions backing up his argument.
That being said, many expected the player to follow in his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo‘s, footsteps. Recently, the 25-year-old was brutally reminded that he’ll ‘never’ reach the levels of the Portuguese.
Atalanta legend Josip Ilicic reminded Mbappe that it is ‘impossible’ for the player to reach Ronaldo’s level, who is the all-time top scorer for Real Madrid. Mbappe, however, scored his first goal for the club against Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup final and will look to make Ilicic eat his words.
Those people who said Mbappé would break Ronaldo's records at Real Madrid and reach his levels deserve nothing but the death penalty.

He's the worst player to ever play for us.
Mbappe recently scored in a 3-0 win over Girona after an unimpressive outing against Athletic Club. The player also missed a penalty as fans criticized him on social media.
Kylian Mbappe ‘fed up’ with ‘project Mbappe’ trend
With Kylian Mbappe being tipped as the ‘next big thing’ for quite some time, there have been several internet trends surrounding the forward. Out of those, the most prominent has been the ‘project Mbappe’ trend, where parents train their young kids and even infants to play football!
Recently, the 25-year-old shared his take on the same, with his opinion strongly negative.
???️ Kylian Mbappé: “My dad never did a "Project Mbappé" with me or woke me up at 6:30 to run laps on a pitch, I chose this path myself, my parents never pressured me.”

The Frenchman also opened up about his situation at Real Madrid and the way his brother, Ethan Mbappe, nearly convinced him to extend at Paris Saint-Germain. Mbappé’s strong message was an attempt to clarify that he followed his path on his own and not because his father forced him to do so.
Mbappe is currently caught in a crisis of position, with many claiming that Vinicius Jr. deserves the left wing over him. The forward will have a chance to prove such claims wrong as Real Madrid takes on Atalanta in the Champions League. Mbappe is currently the fourth highest scorer in the Spanish top flight.
